“Masked to unmask copycats.”

“In both TV commercials you get the very same misunderstanding. The car dealer offers such a low prize that the girl think that he exaggerates in order to seduce her. I just don't understand how the advertiser was seduced by the agency with this second hand idea that already ran in the same country.”
Fr
Eng
“Both campaigns are working the same way : a car automatically detects when someone is looking at it, and a counter shows in real-time how many people turned their heads. Both are based on facial recognition systems... My "same idea" detector tells me this idea was a Bronze Lion one year ago.”
Fr
Eng
“Another sad exemple of cut-copy advertising? This visual idea pops-up every now and then, especially during springtime. Save the bushes and stop the chainsaw massacre!”
Fr
Eng
“Cannes Lions, Clios, Golden Drums, New York Festivals... this Reporters Without Borders campaign was awarded almost everywhere which makes it hard to believe that some creatives never heard about it, even in Costa Rica. "It's not what it seems..." that's what they said. It seems to me it's a copycat.”
Fr

Eng “Advertising creatives are looking way too often in the rearview mirror. In 2017, this visual idea doesn't looks very fresh to say the least. There is no added value in the new one which smells too much like deja-vu to me.”
