As an author of an idea, I can honestly say we have spent a fair amount of time searching through the web resources trying to find out if the idea was or was not done before. We have even looked at Coloribus, which lists Williams visuals, and searched under a « tattoo » and « smell » key words, but it has not shown the french work, as anyone can try.
Exoderil campaign builds upon symptoms of the athlete feet, e.g. itch and smell, and the campaign consisted of two visuals, where the first one is about scratching the irritable itch, but as you can see, the second symptom was the same as for the body odours you fight with a deodorant, which in its simplicity lead us to a similar execution – sadly.
Well, I can be only envious of Joe La Pompe’s searching skills and wish we knew before… 🙁

Hi Jakub, thanks for your message! Yes, shit happens. I know most creative don’t do this on purpose… but we must be more aware of what have been done in the past. « Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it ».
By the way, next time, don’t hesitate to ask me. And believe it or not, I can share my knowledge and I’m always glad to help.
