I love Chema Madoz’s work and have been following this photographer for the past 5 years. However, I do find the 2012 reboot of this concept better conceived. Yes, it’s a copy, but I appreciate the minimalist and it allows the viewer to figure out what it means without giving away the answer (having a person behind it). The 2012 version goes further by the expert use of lighting to create depth and curves of the thighs – or maybe that’s a simple dodge/burn trick. If that’s not the case, then it was a difficult object to photograph (I dar anyone to create a diffused shadow w/o caustics from the glass, and a spotlight on the center while avoiding reflections on the glass). Or maybe the whole thing was a 3d render.
Anyways, just my 2 cents. I like the 2012 version.
